SecureDrive MBP Pfaff policies now include track event participation (competitive driving) for customers.

Starting today (Feb 15), we launched an update to SD MBP Pfaff (“Pfaff MBP”).  Given the nature of changes, there will be no dealer bulletin or brochure update – Pfaff has been having discussions with its dealers.

This is a bit of an unusual launch, and some of the changes should not be shared with dealers, so please review this note carefully.

What changed:

  • New Allowance for Track Event Participation – designed for McLarens (but technically, not restricted to McLarens only); included in core MBP coverage is up to 2 dealer sanctioned non-competitive track events per year for the term of the agreement
    • We can’t post Pfaff materials in Hub Sales Tools, the T&C’s and Pfaff-made collateral in LGMConnect, here
  • New business process for DDM’s– Pfaff has asked that DDMs enter track event participation on behalf of their dealer; please use xlsx icon this sheet.
Depending on the claim, Customer Care adjusters will be asking if a vehicle participated in a track event and checking the sheet for details. Here’s a wee video on what needs to be entered (for internal LGM only).

Note:

  • Adjusters can refer to the Pfaff-MBP-Track-Event-Reporting sheet to confirm if the vehicle was tracked recently.
  • If the vehicle appears on the reporting sheet, you’ll be able to retrieve the pre & post track day inspections to help validate claim concerns.
  • The inspection can be performed at any certified repair facility.
  • Repair facilities are not obligated to use the LGM pre deliver inspection form for pre & post track day inspections.
  • Pfaff SD MBPs allow for 2 dealer sanctioned track events – not to be confused with the customer tracking the vehicle on their own.
